Children of All Nations is proud to partner with New Horizons for Children's Latvia Hosting Program. This program is a wonderful opportunity to help Latvian orphans build a better foundation for their future. Many of these children have been abandoned and they feel left behind. American families hosting these children can impact change in their lives by providing these children with love, self esteem support and educational opportunities. New Horizons for Children has been such a successful program for both host families and children; in fact, about 80 percent of the children hosted end up being adopted by the host family or someone connected to the host family.
Single women and married couples are eligible to participate in the program. To be considered for the program, please submit an application. Please keep in mind that hosts must have a Christian background, and at least one parent needs to be an active member of a church. Families will host children for four to five weeks over the summer or Christmas holidays.
2010 Summer Program Application Deadline: May 15
2010 Winter Program Application Deadline: November 1
Most of the children in the program are 8 years and older with no special medical needs. While the vast majority of children are considered to be healthy, there are children with special needs available.
