Meet Lucrecia

Lucrecia has been diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, which is a genetic disorder that causes developmental delays and other problems.  With the support of her teachers and caretakers, this precious child has shown improvement in her ability to communicate with others.  With the help of her caretakers, Lucrecia has prepared her own introduction found below.  Please enjoy!

Hello, my name is Lucrecia Alvarez Martínez. I am nearly 5 years old and was born on December 20, 2004.

I live at Casa Hogar Unacari where I have friends to play with.  I am very playful and happy.   I also participate in all of the activities at my school called Multiple Assistance Center (MAC) No. 13.  At the MAC, they support me in early stimulation like in Casa Hogar Unacari.  I have already shown great improvement even though I have Down’s syndrome. My caretakers say that I have had many advances and teach me new things every day.

I am very happy at my current home, but I would like to have a family to live with, play with and learn from.
