Latvia's Waiting Children

Girl, born March 17, 1997

Medical Diagnosis – Healthy

She has brown eyes and dark brown hair.  She is an extraverted person and can adapt quickly to new situations.  She is emotionally sensitive and has low self esteem. She is not afraid of difficulties and is active and hard working.  She is joyful and full of energy.

She has had two legal guardians. The first was from May 2007 until January 2008.  The guardian was forced to relinquish guardianship because of health problems. The second guardian was her aunt, but she was not able to manage her behavior. Since December 2009, she has lived with a foster family.  She feels good, but she would like to be adopted abroad.

A court hearing deprived the parents from custody rights in September 2008.  She has one younger sister and one younger brother who both have legal guardianship. She rarely meets with her siblings, and there are no emotional relationship between them.
