Educating Children in Nepal

Name: Niraj Bohara

Date of Birth: May 13, 2002

Family Background:  Niraj Bohara is an inhabitant of Katai Village Development Committee, Ward No-04, Mulla of Darchula District.  His father, Mr. Nabin Singh Bohara, and her mother, Tulshi Bohara, are indebted for a small piece of land in the village.  They do not have any source of income.  Thy have been living in a very small hut without electricity and other facilities.  They work daily for their survival.  They are in a very bad situation.

Home Conditions: His family condition is very poor.  They live in a small hut.  He has one sister, grandparents and parents, making a total of five members living in a small hut.  Due to the poor financial condition, it has been very difficult for the family to support their children’s education.

Educational Record:  Niraj Bohara has been admitted at “Darchula Public School” in Khalanga, Darchula under ECN program April 2010.  He has been selected under the terms set for this scholarship program.
