Children Available for Philippines Adoption

Special Homes Finding Program

Special needs children available for adoption in the Philippines remain in orphanages, called Child Caring Agencies, until they are placed with a family through the Special Homes Finding Program. When selecting a child(ren), consider that you may currently adopt the following:

  • Healthy children between the ages of 9 and 15 years old*
  • Sibling groups of two or more
  • Children of all ages with medical conditions

Healthy children ages 3 and up may be available for adoption at a later time. Please continue to check back for updates on this development!

We are currently placing children considered Waiting Children in the Philippines. To access our list of children available for adoption through the Special Home Finding Program, please visit the Philippines Waiting Child Listing on our ICAN Website, devoted to waiting children around the world. These listings are password protected, so you will need to first request a password before you are able to view the listings. Please remember that you must have selected an adoptable child from this list before submitting a dossier to the Philippines.

*Please note the age of healthy children available for adoption through the Special Homes Finding Program is subject to change.

Relative Adoption

The Philippines allows U.S. families to adopt relatives living in the Philippines that are within four degrees of relation. That means adoptive parents are eligible to adopt a brother, sister, niece, nephew, uncle, aunt, first cousin, grandchild, great grandchild, great-great grandchild, grandniece or grandnephew. If the relationship is beyond four degrees, a first cousin’s child for example, an adoption from the Philippines would not be possible. Adoptive parents must be able to provide proof of the relationship in their dossier.
